FERRUM, VA, November 22, 2023 – Ferrum College senior nursing student Jordyn Scott received Carilion Clinic‘s BEE Award for August 2023!
The BEE Award (Being Exceptional Everyday) was created to honor and recognize ancillary staff who demonstrate what it means to be a Carilion Champion. Scott serves as a Patient Care Technician on 9MPCU at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The BEE honors and celebrates the compassionate care patient support staff in non-licensed nursing roles provide every day.
“Ferrum College Division of Nursing is extremely proud of Jordyn for not only being nominated, but receiving the BEE Award. It is an extreme honor to be nominated by the patients we care for on a daily basis. Jordyn exemplifies compassion for her patients. Ferrum College Division of Nursing can only see an amazing future for Jordyn as she continues her nursing career,” said Melody Sharp, Chair of the Division of Nursing.
