Titmus Agricultural Center

The Titmus Agricultural Center at Ferrum College provides opportunities for student projects with livestock and horticulture, marketing college-grown produce to the campus dining hall and community. Students have been active participants in the construction and management of the farm, gardens, and greenhouses. In addition, faculty routinely take students to local, state, and regional farms; botanical gardens; nurseries; orchards; equestrian events; and conferences to give them firsthand experience with current agricultural practices and issues in the field.

A major annual event is the Titmus plant sale in the spring. In 2026, the Titmus greenhouse is packed full with beautiful annual flowers, unique house plants, and our largest selection ever of vegetables, fruit, perennial herbs, and hanging baskets. Follow the Titmus Agricultural Plant Sale event page in Facebook for previews and details.
