The Ferrum College Jack Tale Players, a touring group founded by R. Rex Stephenson in 1975 to perform adaptations of Appalachian folktales and traditional songs, celebrated their 50th anniversary in fall 2025 with mainstage reunion shows in Sale Theatre.

Most shows feature a multigenerational cast with college students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Volunteers are always needed for performing, ushering, and creating sets, costumes, props, and puppets. Come play with us!
