Educators with this certificate will acquire the knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance their existing curriculum for a more dynamic, student-centered, inquiry-based learning experience.

Graduate Certificate in Instructional Development
The Graduate Certificate in Instructional Development prepares educators, administrators, and other education professionals with a bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s in education or a related field who want to advance their career to the next level. Educators with this certificate will acquire the knowledge, skills, and experiences to strengthen their instructional practice in the classroom for an engaged student-centered learning environment.

Graduate Certificate Admissions Requirements
Applicants wishing to enroll in one of Ferrum’s graduate certificate programs need to meet all criteria established in our Graduate School Catalog, in addition to:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Transcripts | Unofficial transcripts for all postsecondary (undergraduate and graduate) coursework completed can be submitted at the time of application. If admitted, the college must receive all official transcripts before the third week of your first class term.
- Updated resume, including evidence of a teaching license or relevant experience for non-licensed applicants.
