The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) provides reasonable accommodations and services for students with disabilities. The OAS staff will work closely with each student to develop an effective and comprehensive plan for appropriate services and reasonable accommodations. OAS is dedicated to providing the information and resources necessary for students to pursue their academic, personal, and professional goals while at Ferrum. It is our goal to aid in the development of students into responsible decision-makers and self-advocates who are in charge of their future by providing essential tools and support.
The staff of OAS values disability as yet another component of the diversity found on campus. Disability can take many different forms—some are apparent, while others are not. We strive to promote an appreciation of every student and the unique strengths and attributes they bring along with them.
Students are encouraged to meet with the director regularly for individual academic strategies and success instruction.
