Why Pursue a Theatre Arts Minor?

The theatre minor is concentrated in the study of acting, directing, theatre history, and literature. Students work out a coherent program of courses with the theatre faculty.

Theatre Arts Minor Sample Courses

Acting I

An introduction to acting for the stage through the Meisner Technique.

Theatre History I

An introduction to theatre history from the early Greeks to 1900.

Play Production I: Beginning Directing

This course takes the beginning director through the production process from page to stage. It will cover the fundamentals of directing, including script selection, auditions, rehearsals, design decisions, and production.
