History Minor Sample Courses

Historiography

This course is an introduction to historiography, the history, theory, and practice of historical studies. All students with a history major, minor, or concentration are required to take this course.

World History to 1500

An overview of the history of the world from the rise of the earliest civilizations to the development of a global economy.

History of Tourism

Through travel, students will personally engage in travel and tourism while reading and discussing a selection of critical texts on the history and trends in the historiography and study of travel. Students will experience and compare a selection of naturally pristine and heavily developed tourist attractions.
