The goal of the art program is to provide an excellent educational experience that develops technical skills, critical and aesthetic judgment, and a sound knowledge of the visual arts appropriate to students seeking a general appreciation of the arts as well as to aspiring fine arts professionals.

The program is composed of three emphasis areas that allows students to focus their study.
Create visual concepts to communicate information. This includes the entire process of defining requirement and then visualizing and creating graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos.
Sculptors design and shape three-dimensional works of art, either by molding and joining materials such as clay, glass, plastic, and metal or by cutting and carving forms from a block of plaster, wood, or stone.
An art director is in charge of making sure the images used in projects such as magazines, newspapers, and product packaging are stylish and appropriate.
