The minor in accounting is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, the analytical ability, and the skills to succeed in the managerial, governmental, nonprofit, or systems fields of accounting, or in graduate school. This course of study complements many other majors offered at Ferrum College.
Basic theory, concepts, and methodology of accounting. Valuation and income determination, internal control systems, and basic financial statement preparation.
