Ferrum College Welcomes New Associate Vice President of Human Resources & Director of Title IX and Compliance

FERRUM, VA, August 18, 2023 – On July 1st, Ferrum College welcomed Todd Hill, JD to the campus community as Associate Vice President of Human Resources & Director of Title IX Compliance.

A native of Greensboro North Carolina, Hill earned his Business Management associate’s degree at Southwest Virginia Community College. He then received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory and Henry College and his Juris Doctor from Elon University. His career experience includes working as a legal aid for Southwest Virginia doing substance abuse litigation and working in drug courts. Most recently, Hill was at Emory and Henry and was the Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator.

Hill was driven to the College because he really enjoys smaller sized campuses and universities. He also likes being in a more rural setting where he can help students find new and different ways to stay busy. “It allows me as an executive team member to get more personal with faculty, staff and students and build stronger relationships through the work that we do through Title IX. Eventually, I’d like to launch some inclusion initiatives,” Hill said.

Hill is excited to bring more diversity and inclusion initiatives on Ferrum’s campus so that everyone feels well represented. “It’s really important to me for the people that I work with, including students, faculty and staff members to realize that they have a voice. I pride myself on making sure their voices are heard, no matter how small or big it might be,” Hill concludes.
