FERRUM, VA, August 8, 2023 – On August 1, 2024, Ferrum College welcomed Bill Sliwa as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing.
Sliwa brings over 20 years of experience in the enrollment management and marketing field. He most recently served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at West Liberty University. He graduated from Buffalo State College with a bachelor of arts in Psychology.
“I am humbled and honored to announce that I recently accepted an incredible opportunity to join the Ferrum College community as vice president for enrollment management and marketing,” said Sliwa. “Which aligns so well with my life’s work serving and supporting people in achieving their dreams through education.”
Sliwa has also worked at Maryville College and Lees-McRae as Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing at both institutions. While at Maryville, he led an admissions staff that increased the schools full-time undergraduate enrollment.

Before transitioning into enrollment management and higher education, Sliwa coached football for 11 years, across all four levels within the NCAA: DI, DIAA, DII, and DIII.
