Ferrum College Partners with Metz Culinary Management for Campus Dining Services
Metz will bring signature food concept stations that improve the quality and variety of fresh and healthy dining options on Ferrum’s campus
Ferrum, Va. (July 1, 2024) – Ferrum College has partnered with Metz Culinary Management to provide dining services for students, faculty, staff, and guests, effective July 1, 2024.
Under the agreement, Metz Culinary Management will implement signature food concept stations and catering services, which are expected to improve the quality and variety of fresh, healthy, and sustainable dining options at the Ferrum, VA campus.
“Metz Culinary Management is excited to work with Ferrum College to implement culinary options that fit the individualized needs of all the audiences we serve,” said Robert Floccari, District Manager at Metz Culinary Management. “We are dedicated to providing our reputable services at Ferrum, just as we have for our other partners.”
Ferrum joins more than 60 college and university accounts in the Metz portfolio, spanning from Illinois to Florida.
Original Metz signature food concept stations in Ferrum’s residential dining will include:
Pure + Simple, outstanding dishes that omit the top nine food allergens, including eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, fish, shellfish, soy, dairy, and wheat.
Main Plate, offers a selection of classic favorites, trendy gourmet selections, and specialty sandwiches
J. Clark’s Grille, features house-grilled specialty burgers and hot sandwiches, wings, fries, and more
Villa Toscana, made-to-order Italian specialties including hand-prepared stromboli and pizza and fresh pasta
Green Scene, Metz’s salad bar concept with a wide selection of fresh and local items
Retail enhancements include We Proudly Serve® Starbucks and Metz’s Simply Smoothies smoothie bar, a new pizza take-out option, and the introduction of The Chopping Block, a made-to-order salad concept at the Boar’s Head Deli. Metz will also add contactless vending machines around campus that offer refrigerated meals, snacks, and drinks 24-7.
The Family Fish Fry Fridays will return in August after students return to campus.
