Join us for the Panthers Top Prospects Camp at Ferrum College on August 17 from 9 AM to 4 PM, designed for students aged 15 to 18. Led by Ferrum’s new head coach, Eric Owens, this camp is a prime opportunity for aspiring baseball players to showcase their talents and receive top-notch instruction from an experienced coaching staff.
Eric Owens, a former Ferrum College alumnus and Panthers standout, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this camp. After an impressive collegiate career, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds, launching his remarkable journey in Major League Baseball. His career in MLB is marked by dedication, skill, and a commitment to excellence, making him an ideal mentor for young athletes.
The Panthers Top Prospects Camp is a pivotal part of the recruiting process for the Ferrum College Baseball Program. Our format is designed to provide the coaching staff with the best opportunity to evaluate each player and determine their potential fit within the program. The itinerary includes a 60-yard dash, defensive and offensive workouts, and live games. Pitchers will have the chance to throw to hitters, and position players will be observed in real game settings.
This camp is open to all high school graduates from the classes of 2025 to 2028, as well as four-year and JUCO transfers. The event welcomes any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
Please bring both turf shoes and spikes, as we will be using the turf football field where metal cleats are not allowed. Molded cleats are acceptable.
Lunch will not be provided, but we will break for one hour. Campers can bring their own lunch or leave to get food and return.
Don’t miss this chance to elevate your game and be seen by Ferrum College’s coaching staff. We look forward to seeing you on the field!
