Jacob Blaukovitch is a 2021 Ferrum graduate from Roanoke, Virginia, and a graduate of Hidden Valley High School , where he was a member of both the swim team and the track & field team.
At Ferrum, Jacob earned a triple major in Chemistry, Biology, and Pre-Professional Health Sciences (pre-med emphasis), with a minor in One Health. He was captain of the men’s swim team and a member all four years. Additionally, he was involved in the Chemistry club, Minds-n-Medicine, and Love Your Melon campus crew.
After graduation, Jacob plans to begin working while simultaneously starting an online master’s program in order to decide what area(s) of science he intend to pursue in graduate school. He is considering medical school, chiropractic school, or a Ph.D. related to either stem cell research or genetics.
Jacob enjoys reading, playing video games, weightlifting, and exploring various methods of physical therapy (e.g. Cupping, Massage Therapy, Cryotherapy, etc.).
On June 25, 2022, Jacob and Catie (Hodges) Blaukovitch were married on Ferrum’s campus, becoming the first members of the Boone Honors Program to marry each other.
Hello! My name is Lacey Flanagan and I am a freshman attending Ferrum College. I am from Martinsville, Virginia, and I went to Bassett High School.
I am a part of the Boone Honors program and play for the Ferrum women’s soccer team.
I am a Pre-med major and I am currently minoring in Chemistry and Biology. My goal is to become a physician assistant after graduating from college.

I am Sarah Crawford from Franklin County, Virginia. I am majoring in Elementary Education, with a Psychology minor and hope to acquire my Special Education endorsement. After graduation, I hope to obtain a Master’s Degree in education. My goal is to work with all children, both those with general needs and special needs.
Dakota Fletcher is a May 2021 graduate who majored in Computer Technology and Information Systems with emphasis on Networking & Cybersecurity.
Dakota is from Berryville, Va., and has also spent time as a student employee of Computer Services’ Help Desk during his undergraduate years.
Madison Cline is a junior from Christiansburg, Virginia. She is majoring in Agricultural Sciences
with an emphasis in Horticulture. She is open to different career options, but would prefer to get
her hands dirty.
Madison’s only co-curricular is the Agriculture Club. She is also a member of the
Board Game Club, Spectrum, and plays clarinet in the band.
Her hobbies include reading and
writing, gardening, playing the piano, and rollerskating.
Hello! My name is Nathan Girardi, and I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I am currently a sophomore at Ferrum College after transferring in Fall 2020 from Limestone University. I am a sports management major with a minor in coaching and also play on the men’s soccer team.
I enjoying travelling, hiking, and working out in my free time. After college, I plan to go for a master’s in sports management and keep playing soccer, as well as starting my coaching career.
Madison Wright is a 2022 graduate of Ferrum College and the Boone Honors Program. She majored in chemistry with a minor in forensic science. Madison hails from Stuart, Virginia.
In addition to being a member of the honors program, she played on the women’s tennis team.

Jack Sheehan is a 2021 graduate from Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, who also attended State College Area High School. Jack majored in Social Studies and earned a minor in Teacher Education, with aspirations to teach history at the secondary level.
Jack will attend graduate school to continue his study of history in the fall at Southern Utah University.
He was been a four-year member of the Ferrum men’s lacrosse team and two-time captain. He served as placekicker for the Ferrum football team during his senior year and was named recipient of the 2021 President’s Cup. The President’s Cup has been presented since 1967 to the student athlete “who best exhibits excellence in academics, athletics, campus and community leadership and character.”
Camden Mariotti is a 2021 graduate from Radford, Va. Camden majored in Health & Human Performance with emphasis in Exercise Science and hopes to attend graduate school to earn a doctorate in physical therapy.
Camden is also a member of Ferrum’s football team.
Cole Lipinski earned a B.S. in Health & Human Performance with an exercise science emphasis and completed requirements of the Boone Honors Program. He was a member of the 2022 graduating class. After struggling with chronic knee injuries himself, Cole planned a career in physical therapy.
Cole grew up in King George, Va., where he was active in club soccer with the FSCI Phoenix and in youth swimming, serving as a coach for the Hopyard Hammerheads. At Ferrum College, Cole played on the men’s soccer and lacrosse teams.
Cole died by suicide on September 19, 2021 after battles with his mental health. He was 21 years old.
