Rebecca Crocker is a Ferrum College Theatre Department alumna, graduating with her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts in 2002. She then received her M.F.A. in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago. She enjoys being the “sewist of all the things” for mainstage productions at Ferrum and has directed many shows, including Macbeth, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Crimes of the Heart, and Antigone Now. Rebecca is the head puppet designer for the department and teaches courses such as Puppetry and Oral Interpretation, Voice and Diction, StageCraft, and Theatre Appreciation. She performs with the Ferrum College Jack Tale Players and, in addition to leading the creation of many puppets for Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas beginning in 2023, she performed in the 2024 production of the same musical at Ferrum College’s Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre.
