Ferrum College to Celebrate 110th Commencement This Saturday with Dr. Belle S. Wheelan as Keynote Speaker

FERRUM, VA, April 28, 2026 — Ferrum College will hold its 110th Commencement Ceremony this Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Hart International Plaza on campus, marking a milestone for graduating students and their families. A total of 17 graduate students and 127 undergraduates are expected to cross the stage during this celebration of their academic achievements. The College will welcome distinguished higher education leader Dr. Belle S. Wheelan—former president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and former Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia—as this year’s keynote speaker.

Dr. Wheelan, a nationally recognized leader in higher education, brings more than 50 years of experience spanning roles from faculty member to college president.
