Lots of folks remember dances in the lower level of Schoolfield Hall years ago. The popular band Larry Sigmon and the Virginia Girls is ready to do it up right on November 14. They appeared recently in Ferrum at the Blue Ridge Folklife Festival and Arts & Crafts Show, and Larry Sigmon was honored by the college’s Appalachian Music program at the 2024 Grand Ol’ Ferrum Opry. They have performed often at the Floyd Country Store and many other venues and festivals.
