Dr. Dana Ghioca-Robrecht, Data Scientist and Aquatic Ecologist (on right in 2025 photo below), will report on her sabbatical project in spring semester 2026 analyzing 40 years of data from the Smith Mountain Lake Water Quality Program. All are welcome to attend for free.
The program is celebrating its 40th year of collaboration among Ferrum College science faculty, staff, students, and community volunteers. Dr. Delia Heck is project director in 2026 and Dr. Ghioca-Robrecht is chair of the School of Sciences and Agriculture.
