Produced by the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum of Ferrum College, the festival is recognized as the largest event of its kind in Virginia. The New York Times has called the festival “thoroughly authentic,” and participants are the real thing—sharing folk traditions that have been part of their families and communities for generations.
