Rachel Blankenship-Tucker

Artistic Director of Bluegrass Brass, Music and Theatre production staff

Rachel Blankenship-Tucker is a graduate of Radford University’s Department of Theatre and Cinema. She joined the Jack Tale Players and Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre in 2010, and continues to serve as a performer, stage manager, tour manager, social media designer, and member of the leadership team. Rachel serves as the Artistic Director of Bluegrass Brass and performs with Orchestra Appalachia. Rachel is a founding member of the nationally touring “hot-folk” trio After Jack. When she is not performing, Rachel is an avid forager and wild mushroom enthusiast. In 2023, Rachel was awarded the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, which recognizes strength of character and service to the community.
