Cole Lipinski earned a B.S. in Health & Human Performance with an exercise science emphasis and completed requirements of the Boone Honors Program. He was a member of the 2022 graduating class. After struggling with chronic knee injuries himself, Cole planned a career in physical therapy.
Cole grew up in King George, Va., where he was active in club soccer with the FSCI Phoenix and in youth swimming, serving as a coach for the Hopyard Hammerheads.
At Ferrum, Cole has played on the men’s soccer and lacrosse teams.
After struggling with emotional issues, Cole Lipinski died by suicide on September 19, 2021. He was 21 years old.
