My name is Rachel Scott and I graduated in the spring of 2016 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. While at Ferrum, I was a member of the Women’s Soccer and Lacrosse teams. Additionally, I was a member of Dr. Angie Dahl’s research team, where I co-wrote my first journal article. Following graduation, I worked for a mental health skills building service in Rocky Mount, Va., and then received my Masters in Psychology from Radford University in 2019.
In May 2022, I received my master’s in Clinical Psychology from Mississippi State University. Currently, I am continuing work toward my Ph.D. in Clinical Psych at MSU, working on my doctoral thesis project, seeing clients via telehealth, and teaching twp courses (heavily inspired by my undergraduate faculty – shout out to Dr. Dahl and Dr. Sharon Stein!)
I wouldn’t be where I am today without Ferrum College and the Boone Honors Program. Every day I am thankful for the education, support, and opportunities afforded to me by the folks at Ferrum! #PantherPride
