Full and Partial Graduate Assistantships
Each year Ferrum College offers a limited number of full and partial graduate assistantships to outstanding students. Graduate assistantships represent an honor and distinction and are given only to high-quality students. Awards are made by academic year or semester.
Graduate Assistants engage in projects, administrative work, tutoring, or other activities in academia.
To be eligible for an assistantship, a student must be admitted as a degree-seeking student in a graduate program at Ferrum College and remain in good academic standing. Maintaining assistantship eligibility requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all semesters for which the student holds a GA position. Graduate Assistants must register for a minimum of nine graduate credits each semester.
