Ferrum College is committed to helping you find the funding you need to study abroad. If you go abroad through one of our partner programs, you are eligible to apply most of the financial aid you receive at Ferrum College to fall-semester or spring-semester programs. Summer terms are not typically covered, but we can help you look for additional funding sources.

In addition to your regular financial aid, our exchange programs in South Korea, Japan, Russia, Chile, China, or Ireland, all provide varying levels of funding. Click on each of these locations for specific information.

In addition, we have established partnerships that provide varying levels of financial support. To have the best chance of success in applying for scholarships, make an appointment with the Director of International Programs well in advance of application deadlines. Typically we require that students have their applications ready for review by the Ferrum College Center for International Programs one month before the program deadline.

We have a long-standing partnership with Spanish Studies Abroad. Our students have studied in Spain, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. They offer merit-based , diversity , and returning student scholarships.

Freeman Asia is an IIE scholarship for students with demonstrated need who would like to study in Asia.

Rotary 7570 is local to Ferrum College and offers the Skelton-Jones scholarship for one academic year of study abroad. You can see specifics of their requirements and the application on this link.
