Ferrum College is seeking applications for the faculty position of Assistant Professor of Business Administration, Management beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful applicant will be a dynamic, student-focused educator who is capable of growing Ferrum College’s Business Administration Management Emphasis in areas including but not limited to: entrepreneurship, human resource management, and production management. Ideal candidates will also be able to offer courses in the business and economics of sports. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate an ability to interact with diverse audiences and who are able to incorporate innovative, inclusive pedagogies and technology into their teaching. Given the breadth of emphasis in the Business Administration Program, the preferred candidate should be effective in teaching across multiple sub-disciplines.
Beginning August, 2025 the successful candidate will teach a full course load (12 credit hours) of undergraduate courses in business. Additionally, they are expected to engage in community activities with local organizations, serve on school and college committees, advise and mentor students, and engage in curricular review and ongoing professional development.
