DESCRIPTION:Immerse your senses in 1800 rural Blue Ridge life at the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum’s Blue Ridge Farm Museum\, a re-created Virginia-German farmstead. Join our costumed interpreters in a host of household and farm chores\, including preparing meals over the open hearth\, driving oxen\, blacksmithing\, and tending heirloom gardens and historic breeds of animals. \nThe living history farm on Rt. 40 in Ferrum is open every Saturday until Sept. 5\, 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. \nGroup Tours are available by reservation April through November.\nClick HERE for more information. \nSee the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum – BRIM in social media for more photos and updates.

DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to invite you to Ferrum College for our Black & Gold Open House—a special event designed just for prospective students! \nCome join us for a day in the life of a Ferrum College student. Students and parents will be welcomed to the campus for a short information session about the college. Then students will visit a class in their prospective area of interest. While students are in class\, parents will be able to learn more details about the college. Students will then rejoin parents for Admissions and Financial Aid sessions. \nLunch will be provided for families. Lastly\, a campus tour will be available for interested families. DESCRIPTION:The Monday Music Jam at Ferrum College is a free weekly event on The Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail. Every Monday of the year at 7:00\, anyone can join in for an evening of authentic old-time and bluegrass music. You can play instruments\, sing\, dance\, or just listen and enjoy. \nArrive any time between 7 p.m. and 8:30. Chairs are available for everyone and if you have mobility issues\, or you’re carrying a big instrument\, you can pull up right to the door.
