CANCELLED
OR COMPRESSED SCHEDULE INFORMATION:
In
the event of inclement weather, Ferrum College will announce
one of two options for a regularly scheduled class day: “Classes
Cancelled” or “Compressed Class Schedule.”
In case of a compressed or cancelled class schedule, the cafeteria
will open at 10am.
“Classes Cancelled” means no classes will meet and
the announcement will specify the status for both day and evening
classes.

"Closed"
– Staff employees are not required to report to work
"Compressed schedule" - Staff employees report if
you can do so safely
"Classes cancelled" – Staff employees report
if you can do so safely

“Compressed Schedule” means that classes will
be delayed until 11:00 a.m. and will then meet according
to the above schedule. Evening classes will meet at their regular times, and
the athletic practice window will begin at 4 p.m.

NOTE: The College is never “closed,” as long
as students are on campus. Staff should refer to the staff
handbook (page 15-16) for the complete inclement weather
attendance policy. If you have any questions, please contact
