I am the Dean of the Chapel and Religous life at Ferrum College. I also teach Religion courses each semester. If you have met me, you already know that I am a people person! This is one of the reasons I really enjoy being a college chaplain. My interests include teaching, working with students, reading, and spending time with my family. I enjoy life-long learning. My wife and I love to go swing dancing, particularly the east coast lindy hop. I walk at least four miles every day to relieve stress and get some exercise.
I also love to travel. I have made eight trips to Israel, most recently in January of 2006. I have worked with Dr. David Howell on Travel Abroad Spring Break and Summer Programs at Ferrum College that have included Israel in 2001, Rome in 2002, Malta in 2003, Belize in 2004, Prague in 2005, New Orleans in 2006, and Guatemala in 2007. This year, I travled to Israel and Palestine for my ninth visit to region. I also travelled over Spring Break to Jamaica to work at an orphanage.
