The Student Affairs Division of Ferrum College fully supports and is committed to advancing the ideals of the College’s Mission Statement to developing the whole student, both in openness to a wide range of intellectual discovery, and in the physical, spiritual and social aspects of life. Our purpose is to serve students who are attracted to our residential learning community, provide a wide range of opportunities for personal growth and value formation, experiential learning, and academic achievement in a supportive environment.

To this end we recognize the value of partnership within the Division as well as with other Divisions of the College and in particular, the students we serve. Through these partnerships we will educate one another that all activities at Ferrum are an integral part of the learning experience. We believe the curriculum at Ferrum includes all experiences both in and out of the formal classroom.

Central to this endeavor is the student learner. We appreciate and respect the abilities, values and pursuits each brings to Ferrum College. We accept this awesome responsibility with humility and confidence that as a team we prepare ourselves daily to assist these students in their intellectual and personal discovery.
