Meal Plans

Meals for the week begin on Sunday and end on Saturday. Dining dollars are not carried from one semester to another and must be used by the end of the semester they are issued. Meals are served to resident students upon presentation of a valid identification card.

The cost of meals is included in the College’s comprehensive fee for residential students.

Incoming Freshman

Meal Plan B will be the default resident meal plan for all incoming freshman residential students living in Clark, Dyer, Roberts, Riddick, Chapman, Bassett, Moore, Arthur, and Susannah Wesley. Freshman students may request to change to Meal Plan A during the spring semester.

Plan B (Default Meal Plan)

Meal Plan B includes 15 meals per week in our Dining Hall and $325.00 in dining dollars to be used in the Dining Hall, Subway, Papa John's, Papa John's Express, The News Cafe, Metro Deli, Ferrum Mercantile, or The Chuckwagon plus 3 guest meals per semester.

Plan A (Available to Freshman students during the Spring)

Meal Plan A includes 19 meals per week in our Dining Hall and $175.00 in dining dollars to be used in the Dining Hall, Subway, Papa John's, Papa John's Express, The News Cafe, Metro Deli, Ferrum Mercantile, or The Chuckwagon plus 3 guest meals per semester.

Students requesting to change from Meal Plan B to Meal Plan A may do so by contacting Kim Allen at kallen@ferrum.edu by August 22, 2014. If changes are not requested by August 22, 2014, the student will have to wait until the following semester to make a meal plan change..

Meal Plan M (Default meal plan for resident students approved to live in Ferrum Village, Hillcrest, or 602 Apartments)

Resident students approved to live in Ferrum Village, Hillcrest, or 602 Apartments be assigned Meal Plan M. This meal plan includes 10 meals per week in our Dining Hall and $325 in dining dollars to be used in the Dining Hall, Subway, Papa John's, Papa John's Express,  The News Cafe, Metro Deli, Ferrum Mercantile, or The Chuckwagon plus 3 guest meals per semester.

These students may request Meal Plan A or Meal Plan B by contacting Kim Allen at kallen@ferrum.edu by August 22, 2014. There is an additional $550 charge per semester which must be paid through Student Accounts (540-365-4239) located in John Wesley before Meal Plan A or B can be issued.

Commuter Students

Commuter students may place money on their Ferrum I.D. card ($20 minimum) using a credit card at Student Accounts (540-365-4239) located in John Wesley or with cash/check in the Dining Services Office (540-365-4453) located in Franklin Hall. Commuter students may also pay cash prices when eating at any of our food venues.
