Basham’s interests includes the conservation of the natural environment, the biological structure and functions of living organisms, philosophical studies, outdoor recreation, campus life, and the advancement of the student as a key contributor to the development of campus policy and events. He is a member of Theta Chi Epsilon (OXE) and the Wildlife Club.

She is a member of the Ferrum College Women’s Tennis Team, Cross Country, Kappa Alpha Sigma (KAS) – Fundraiser Chair, Student Affairs Committee, and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
