Students- The Senior Academic Excellence Award, given to Top Scholar Nicholas Elliott, of Salem, VA the Arthur S. Owens Leadership Award, given to Jay Greeley, of Leesburg, VA and the James T. Catlin Citizenship Award, given to Rebecca Saunders, of Madison Heights, VA This is Dr. Boones 15th and final Commencement at Ferrum College. This is Ferrums first Saturday Commencement. Ferrum College was accredited as a four-year college by the Southern Association of Colleges in 1976. Ferrum College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. There are 35 majors, including Horticulture and Sports Management. Total enrollment- approx. 1,000. Twenty-six states and 5 countries are represented in the student body.
