Mark Warners long-time commitment to and involvement in technology, higher education and economic development, particularly in southwest Virginia, provides him with special insights to share with our graduates, as they set forth to conquer their dreams. Through his past leadership and his future aspirations for Virginia, Warner has helped build and will continue to expand the landscape within which their hopes, goals, and ambitions may be realized. He is an innovative leader, a high achiever, a dynamic individual, and an excellent speaker- the ideal orator for a college commencement. Dr. Jerry M. Boone President |

competence. It is offered on more than 60 campuses. Warner was the first in his family to graduate from college. He completed George Washington University in 1977 and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1980. He lives in Alexandria with his wife and their three daughters. Ferrum College is a four-year, private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
