Ferrum College students will demonstrate what they have learned in the classroom while competing for cash prizes at the fourth annual Academic Talent Show, to be held April 16, at 7:30 p.m., in Sale Theatre at Ferrum College. The community is welcome to attend. The event will allow both individual and groups to vie for $500 in prizes. Students MUST remit a completed entry form to Betsy Smith or Katherine Grimes in the ARC by April 12 to participate. Talent show rules dictate that the act must be both entertaining and educational. The acts can include dramatic monologues, skits, songs, or other performances and will be judged on originality, creativity, and educational message. The educational content must be that gleaned in the Ferrum College classroom. The event is sponsored by the Academic Support Division. It is designed to encourage students to discover unique and imaginative ways that they may demonstrate their knowledge and learning to others.
