Ferrum Students Work With Appalachian College Association to Monitor the Appalachian Region Water Quality

           Ferrum, Va.-- On April 11, 2002, two of Dr. Bob Pohlad’s environmental science classes conducted water sampling to check on the Ferrum watershed as part of a five-state effort.  The Collaboration through Appalachian Watershed Studies (CAWS) is a joint effort between seven Appalachian College Association schools to monitor regional watersheds, as well as looking at the Appalachian quality in general.
