Nunsense II, The Second Coming, Dan Goggin’s next installment about
the five delightful nuns from Hoboken, opens April 15 at the Blue Ridge
Dinner Theatre. Because last season’s Nunsense was a smashing success,
bringing back the eccentric nuns in a brand-new musical promises more
fun.

Sister Amnesia (Emily Rose Tucker) and her puppet, Sister Mary
Annette, are about to be whisked away by the Franciscans in this not
to be taken too seriously spoof on life in a convent. Reverend Mother
(Willette Thompson) and Sister Hubert (Jody D. Brown) are bound and
determined not to lose any members from their order. While all this
is going on, Sister (Morgan Price) roller-skates around the stage,
and Sister Robert Anne (Victoria Parker) again uses her veil to create
everything from storybook characters to Michael Jackson.
As with Nunsense, the nuns have lots of interaction with
the audience, up-beat songs, dances, and, new to this production, the
nuns do a can-can. Seeing is believing, and you will want to be there
for all the fun.
The production runs until April 19 in Sale Theatre on the campus
of Ferrum College. Nunsense II, The Second Coming re-opens
June 11 and its final performance on June 14. Meals are served before
most performances. Reservations can be made by calling 540-365-4335,
writing the BRDT at brdt@ferrum.edu, or using the web site, www.blueridgedinnertheatre.com.
