Survivor to Speak at Ferrum College |

Jack
Hoffmann, a Holocaust survivor, will speak at Ferrum College Thursday,
March 22 at 7:30pm at the Panther’s Den. Hoffmann, who was one of about
10,000 children saved by Great Britain’s Kindertransport during the
Holocaust, will speak about his experiences. He will also show a film
on The Children Who Cheated the Nazis, a moving story told
by some of the children who were forced to flee from Nazi persecution
shortly before war was declared. Their traumatic rescue and forced separation
from their parents became known as the Kindertransport. Admission is free, and a discussion will follow. The presentation is open to the public.
