| The
10th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference will be held at Ferrum College
on March 21 and 22, 2007. The purpose of the Conference is to share
the successes of women leaders and to empower other women and men to
assume leadership roles in their families, professional lives, and communities. Highlights of the conference include a reading by Sharon Mehdi, author of “The Great Silent Grandmother Gathering,” on Wednesday March 21, and a keynote by Ms. Mehdi on Thursday, March 22. We will also welcome back 1984 Ferrum College alumna Shelby Irving who will speak about her experience as Assistant Fire Marshall for the city of Danville, Virginia. Additional information and registration materials may be found at www.ferrum.edu/wlc. Ferrum College is a four-year, private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Ferrum offers a choice of nationally recognized bachelor’s degree programs at a cost well below the national average for private colleges. For more information on Ferrum, visit www.ferrum.edu.
