| The
Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre opens its 27th season with Neil Simon’s
classic comedy, The Odd Couple. The free-spirited slob, Oscar
Madison (R. Rex Stephenson), offers refuge for his highly sensitive
neatnik friend, Felix (Michael Trochim). “These actors make
their characters uniquely theirs and do not cheat the audience
by doing Matthau or Lemmon impersonations” from a review of
the 2002 production.
Justin Jewell returns to play Vinnie,
whose wife constantly harasses him; Thomas Townsend re-creates
the calculating Murray the Cop. Milton Rowan and John “Stretch”
Beach join the cast as Speed and Roy. Jody D. Brown and Emily
Rose Tucker will again create the British secretary sisters
who Oscar hopes will brighten up the bachelors’ lives. It is
all great fun with a cast of BRDT favorites. |

Odd Couple opens April 18 and plays through
April 22 at Ferrum College. Felix (Michael Trochim) and his roommate
Oscar (R. Rex Stephenson) are having a domestic dispute over gravy.
