Lake area residents will be able to take advantage
of unique art courses in oil and watercolor painting, drawing and
digital photography offered by Ferrum College at the nearby Smith
Mountain Lake 4-H Center beginning this fall. All are taught by local
artists and provide the same quality instruction found on the Ferrum
campus.
The following are the classes for Fall 2006, held at the W. E. Skelton
4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake:
Jane Stogner's Drawing Classes are 9:00 a.m. - Noon
October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1 & 8
Jane Stogner's Portrait Oil Classes are 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1 & 8
Janice Sayle's Watercolor Classes are 9:00 p.m .- Noon
October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and November 7.
Ken McCreedy's Digital Photography Classes are 1:00 p.m. -
4:00p.m.
October 23, 27, 30, November 3, 6 and 10.
Registration is encouraged for the course and class
size will be kept deliberately small in order to ensure maximum individual
instruction and attention. The fee for the course is $175 (or $300
for two) which includes all instruction. For registration information
