The Drama department at Ferrum College is gearing up for its spring production, the award-winning play, “Wit.” “Wit” will be offered March 10th-12th at 7:30 p.m. and on March 13th for two showings at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All performances will take place in the Sale Theatre on the Ferrum College campus. Admission is $5.00 for adults; $3.00 for students and senior citizens; and free to those with a Ferrum College ID. However, donations of canned goods will be accepted for the St. James Food Bank. “Wit” involves some adult language and themes.

“Wit” is a Pulitzer Prize winning play written by Margaret Edson. The production is amusing yet affecting as it deals with death and the art of dying with dignity. “Wit” was inspired by the emotional disturbance of coping with a terminal illness.

"Wit is exquisite . . . an exhilarating and harrowing 90-minute revelation," said Linda Winer, in a review appearing in Newsday.
