Ferrum College Students Help Prepare Taxes for STEP Clients

     Ferrum students, advised by faculty member Dr. Dave Sulzen, are participating for the fifth year in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) and will prepare taxes on campus for campus employees and students as well as a specialized service in Rocky Mount in cooperation with Support To Eliminate Poverty (STEP), Inc.

     Jon Morris ’94, Executive Director for STEP, Inc. explains, “The partnership between STEP, Inc. and Ferrum College is a win/win for everyone. Dr. Sulzen does an amazing job preparing his students for life after college and our clients benefit from the professionalism and knowledge the students display.”
