Ferrum College will host the talent of local artist and Ferrum College designer Suzie Kelly in a summer gallery. Kelly’s works will be on display alongside sculpture by graduating senior Adam McNeil ’05. A reception will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the E. Taylor Greer Gallery at Ferrum. The exhibit will continue through the summer and end on August 20th. The exhibit is free to the public and open during Stanley Library hours. Donations of non-perishable food to benefit the St. James Community Center Food Bank are welcome.

The exhibit at Ferrum will include Lomography prints from the special cameras utilized by Kelly. Lomography is a photographic style born of the plastic Russian LOMO cameras originally produced in the 1980’s. LOMO cameras typically use unusual or multiple lenses for an interesting pop-art effect.

Previous exhibitions of Suzie Kelly’s work have been held in Roanoke, VA, Alfred, NY and Baltimore, MD.

Suzie Kelly is currently the Webmaster and principal designer of the Ferrum Magazine for Alumni and friends of Ferrum College. Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Alfred University in Alfred, NY where she won the Student Innovation Award in 2003 and the Campus Marketing Award from the AU American Marketing Association in 2002.
