The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre will hold General Auditions for local non-Equity actors on Wednesday, March 16 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Auditioners should perform a single, memorized monologue of not more than two minutes in length, demonstrate any musical talent they have, and bring a headshot and resume to leave with the auditor, Dr. R. Rex Stephenson, artistic director of the BRDT.

Auditions will be held in the Flexible Theatre of Schoolfield Hall, Ferrum College.

The Blue Ridge Dinner Theatre will be performing off campus entirely during its 26th season, May and June 2005. In addition to performances in Franklin, Bedford, Wythe, and Roanoke counties, the BRDT will travel to Georgia and North Carolina during the eight-week season. Organizations sponsoring the BRDT 2005 touring season are choosing among several offerings: Jack Tales(in either a one or a two-act format), Mark Twain Joins Jack Tales, or workshops. In addition, the BRDT will produce a family show in late June that will involve the company with area youth.

Members of the BRDT company must be available from May 8 through July 4. They live on campus and receive salaries, room, and board. For more information, see the BRDT web site at www.ferrum.edu/brdt or contact the artistic director, Dr. Stephenson (rstephenson@ferrum.edu).
