Ferrum Professor to Present at International Film Festival |

Professor of English, Dr. Lana Whited, will present on the topic of
“Media Violence and Its Antisocial and Prosocial Effects: Mass Media
Theories” at the International Festival of Animated Films (AniFest)
being held this year in Třeboň, Czech Republic. The festival begins
May 5th and continues through the 11th with hundreds of animated screenings,
presentations from Oscar-nominated filmmakers and unique events planned
throughout. Whited’s remarks will be a part of a special symposium commemorating
the end of World War II, held on May 7th. Ferrum College is a four-year, private, co-educational, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
