To All Members of the Ferrum College Community:
In an effort to assist the many, many victims of Hurricane Katrina,
agencies across the country are asking for financial support. I have
been in dialogue with the United Methodist Churches Committee on Relief
and they have said that financial contributions are of the greatest
need at this time. In order that our community have an opportunity
to assist our brothers and sisters who have been affected by the winds
and rains of Katrina you may send donations of any size to either
myself in Bassett Hall 106 or Bonner Coordinator Joyce Scott in Bassett
Hall 104. Gifts of all amounts will be greatly appreciated. Please
be assured that every dollar raised and sent to UMCOR will go directly
to hurricane victim relief. This is the same organization we went
through in our Tsunami Relief Effort. Checks should be made payable
to Ferrum College and earmarked for the Katrina Relief Fund.
Students: You will be solicited in your Residence Halls early next
week. So please save your change for this worthwhile cause.
Blessings,
