The holidays bring special events at the Ferrum
College campus, including special collaborations and featured student
performances: the annual Lessons and Carols production for the holiday
season will take place on November 30, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in Vaughn
Chapel; Ferrum College will also host the Gospel, Jazz, and Classical
Ensembles Concert on December 3, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sale Theatre
of Schoolfield Hall; and the Fall Dance Recital will be held on December
6, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sale Theatre of Schoolfield Hall. All
performances are free and open to the public, although donations of
non-perishable food items will be accepted for the St. James Community
Center.
Ferrum College’s Dean of the Chapel and Music Department
have joined forces to present the annual Lessons and Carols production.
In addition to the spiritual message, the Ferrum College Concert Choir
and Collegiates will perform the music of the Christmas season. This
service allows you to hear the story of the birth of the Messiah and
how the scripture foretold this miraculous event.
“You will definitely want to start your Holiday
Season off by joining with friends and neighbors throughout the County
at this service reminding us all of the Reason for the Season,” says
Wes Astin, Dean of the Chapel and Religious Life. For more information
