The Blue Ridge Institute at Ferrum College is proud
to announce an exciting musical line up for this year’s Blue Ridge
Folklife Festival. The performances will take place across three stages:
the Traditions in Sacred Music Stage, The Blue Ridge Sampler Stage
and the Blue Ridge Bands Stage. The Festival will take place on Saturday,
October 22, 2005, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the Ferrum College campus
in Ferrum, VA.
The Traditions in Sacred Music Stage will
feature a variety of gospel-related acts including: the Mt. Nebo Holiness
Choir, Dave & Mary Lambeth (country gospel); the Star Light Gospel
Singers; Randy & Deborah Sheets String Band (gospel string band);
the Trinity Chorus; Moose Family (old time gospel); and The Spiritual

The Blue Ridge Sampler Stage will include
musicians Jeff Little & Friends, Jeffery Scott, Jim Marshall,
Brian Fain, Sheena Dalton, and Wayne Henderson & Friends as well
as a Singers Workshop with Gin Burris and Tobacco Auctioneer Bob Cage.

The Blue Ridge Bands Stage will showcase the
following bands: the Dry Hill Draggers (Old Time String Band); Southern
Pride (Old Time String Band); Marshall Brothers (Bluegrass); Cabin
Creek Boys (Old Time String Bands); The New North Carolina Ramblers
(Old Time Band); No Speed Limit (Bluegrass); and the Ballard Branch

The Blue Ridge Institute and Museum is located
