Lake area residents will again be able
to take advantage of unique art courses in oil and watercolor painting,
drawing, and digital photography offered by Ferrum College at the
nearby Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Center in 2006. All are taught by local
artists and provide the same quality instruction found on the Ferrum
campus.
The following are the classes for Spring
2005, held at the W. E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center
at Smith Mountain Lake:
Jane Stogner’s Drawing Classes will be from 9:00
a.m. until 12 noon
Wednesdays – March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5
Jane Stogner’s Oil Painting Classes will be from
1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Wednesdays –March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and April 5
Janice Sayles’ Watercolor Classes will be from 9:00
a.m. until 12:00 noon
Thursdays – March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6
Ken McCreedy’s Digital Photography Classes will be 1:00 p.m.
until 4:00 p.m.
Mondays & Fridays – April 17, 21, 24, 28, May 1, and 5
Registration is encouraged for the course
and class size will be kept deliberately small in order to ensure
maximum individual instruction and attention. The fee for the course
is $175 which includes all instruction. For registration information
