An exhibition of black & white and color photography, capturing images from the Blue Ridge Folk Life Festival will be held on December 6th through December 10th, in the E. Taylor Greer Gallery, Stanley Library. Admission is free but donations of non-perishable food to benefit the St. James Community Center Food Bank are welcome.

There are four categories for entries: faculty and staff, students, members of the community, and children. Members of the Roanoke Camera Club will judge the contest, and winners receive ribbons for placements. Along with this display will be recent photos of the exotic summer travels of faculty, staff and students.

Dr. Kenneth McCreedy, associate professor of Criminal Justice and director of the Criminal Justice Program, started the Folk Life Festival photography contest five years ago. Selections are taken from the entries for use in the Blue Ridge Institute or in the brochures for future Folk Life Festivals. For more information, contact Kenneth McCreedy at (540)-334-2281 or kmccreedy@ferrum.edu
